The first all-electronic television image
A 21-year-old inventor named Philo Farnsworth transmitted the first television picture made entirely with electronics, a simple straight line, in his San Francisco lab. Earlier TV had used spinning mechanical disks. Farnsworth's electronic approach is the one every television since has been built on.
