    Dolly the cloned sheep is revealed

    Scientists at the Roslin Institute in Scotland announced Dolly, a sheep grown from a single adult cell, the first mammal ever cloned that way. She proved a mature cell could be coaxed to build a whole new animal, and opened decades of work in genetics and medicine.
